Building my own Chinatown beauty dish, following the instructions provided by Todd Owyoung, probably saved me between $90 and $250.

The only realy fault I can find with the resulting beauty dish is that, because I painted it in nearly freezing temperatures, the paint dried slighly unevenly and the final exterior clear coat dried with a slight haze. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic new toy that I’m so pleased with, I’m going to build one (or two) for my Speedotron blackline 102 heads, using a 20qt bowl.
